he left them 12 years ago (2006) when they put the time capsule which is also when takemitchy went back to the future (2020). and when takemitchy went back to the past 2 years had gone by (2008). so within those 2 years in the past, mikey was able to create a new gang big/powerful enough to be called "kanto manji" which includes not only the tokyo prefecture but 6 others.

So it took less 2 years for Mickey to go to the dark side
I though he disapered after 2 years
