Omg, when he was like "why whenever I look at this bird it makes me feel so ill tempered" I started laughing because it sounded similar to- "wow she's so different- she interests me" that all male leads say at one point. And like lowkey I know that in reality he's just probably starting to experience what all first pet owners do. The wow this animal is so smart and cute type of thing but because its a romance novel and the birds actually a human it just implies him "falling in love" which is funny. I can't wait till she actually turns into a human.
