Ngl, I read the actual novel like a year ago, so this is just a general outline of what happens.
She basically saves the day I think, since her bow allows her to use it against those enchanted creatures (can’t remember why tho rip) so she wins the game rewards (for completing the quest) and everyone’s favour. uhhh and then like the next day or wtv I’m pretty sure is the actual hunt, so Penelope goes into the forest to hunt or something? Before that I think she had a feud with some ladies and then walked away to the forest. She gets lost I think? Or something and ends up meeting the Emperor dude (blonde boy with red eyes) and they got attacked by assassins. So he basically rides a horse with her to get away from the assassins and she uses her bow to shoot them down. They reach a cliff and end up surrounded? I think they take out all the assassins tho (or maybe not, i don’t remember lol) but she like slips and falls down the cliff and the Emperor protects her. He ends up injured, and she takes care of him. In this time, their relationship develops and they get on better terms, with his love value increasing for her. They spend time together in a cave. Then she finds some ancient artifact stuff in the cave that works like a teleportation device ??? I think and she uses her palaeontology skills to dig around and basically send them back to the hunting grounds area. The emperor is like knocked out tho, and something happens and they suspect Penelope of idk attempting to kill the emperor or kidnapping him or something else. The oldest brother basically puts her in jail or wtv. I just know this part makes her realize once more that this family hates her (or the real ‘Penelope’) and they can never be on proper terms. Anyways, I think she stays in jail for a few days bc she needs the emperor to wake up and clarify that she did nothing wrong. That’s about all I remember. Sorry it’s so vague and probably inaccurate lol.

The end. End? Ok.
She defeats the actual boss. An evil dragon? Or spirit that took over the body of the original daughter. Somehow Penelope spirit has the fate to be in constant fight with this evil spirit, time after time. Reborn time after time to defeat the evil but never really succeeding. It was destined fate but also her fate to never live a happy life.
Penelope got fid up after the whole ordeal. She couldn't bring herself to forgive the father and brothers for what they done. She wanted to leave because she really didn't want stay. So for five years she did what she wanted, to heal, by doing what she loved and found joy in archaeology. She traveled to study old ruins. The prince, poor him, said he would wait for her. When she felt ready to return. And she did, she missed him. After her hurt and anger cooled she returned to marry the prince and become his empress.
She gave birth to a daughter. That was born with dragon wings and powers. The prince got gravely injured fighting the dragon. To save his life, she fed him the dragon blood. And their daughter inherited some powers.
The father and second brother became really doting. The eldest brother, well. She never forgave him so he lived in remorse. Plus, he actually has romantic feelings for her and thats why he was so hard on her because he felt guilty. But it doesn't mean he could be so harsh and not show some kindness. He lives with the sadness seeing her love another man.
Later, Penelope dreamt or her spirit traveled back to her original world. Her original body was kept alive by life support but remained comatosed. Her father and brother were there, remorseful for what had happened. They loved her but had a terrible way of showing it. All the things they did was so she would go to them, ask for help or something. They said her independent and stand offish behaviour or attitude to them made them do all those terrible things. Which is not a valid reason. She has her pride. She would not beg. They only know this after finding out she collapsed and developed stomach cancer. To make up for this she was hospitalized in the best facility and hired the best doctors.
When her spirit appeared, they saw her in Penelope form. They came to realize its her and pleaded for her to come back. They would do better, and not cause so much trouble.
But Penelope was never going to forgive them. Somehow her spiritual body could pull the oxygen mask or the life support plug. So she let her original body finally rest. And nothing remained for her in her original world and so she returned back to her husband and daughter.

Don't feel too bad for him. He actually does many bad things to Penelope. When the real sister came, before they discovered she is an evil spirit or whatever. He became colder towards Penelope than he is now. And later on in this current arc, when she gets arrested for a crime she didn't commit. He immediately arrests her himself, and never believed a word she said. He never listened to her even when she said look at the evidence rather than circumstances. Unlike the second brother or father, that believed her and try to help her. He didn't. That is when she felt most betrayed.
