I don't think it's like that, he talked about the mc being a 'sacred' being right? Maybe being 'blind' was just a metaphor for being... ?godly? which made him treat the mc differently from the rest of the guys he's previously killed. that's why he got mad when the mc said he wasn't blind(taking away the 'sacredness'). kinda like giving up the persona of a 'sacred being' and disappointing him. (sorta.. kinda..maybe.. explains why the mc said 'you win')
