The point of this character's personality, you SMASHED that. He is literally drowning in the pressure, expectations, projections, and HEAVY feelings that teachers, his peers, and his parents are putting on him. These people are the ones who are suppose to nurture/protect him in life. He has zero refuge. When you shine so brilliantly like that, people think that you are something to own, something that they demand access to...something that they are entitled to...Like he was put there for others to enjoy his talents, not for him to live for himself. It's bullshit.

Eunsung’s feelings are definitely valid. I know in the past couple chapters some people were complaining he’s being stuck up bc he gets all these great opportunities they wish they could get.. but that’s literally the point ?? he acknowledges that he doesn’t know why he’s always handed these things other than to please other people and fulfill their desires in him. His parents, teachers, etc push him to do all these things, and even if they do because they believe they’re doing “good” for him, they’re not actually concerned about how he feels, but more so how his outward appearance and successes look for him in life. That’s not inherently a bad thing, but you should prioritize your happiness over “success”. Eunsung has clearly always made his disinterest for the things people in his life push on him to pursue, obvious. The only reason he continues to be in this loop is because even after declining these offers, people in his life will continue to push him, and the only way he feels he can get out of it is to give in so they’ll stop pushing him and he can just get it over with. I don’t think he’s necessarily concerned with truly pleasing other people, but just playing the act so they’ll leave him be. All Eunsung wants is to be able to live the way he wants and to decide what he thinks is good for him; not worry about other people always molding him to fit their image of success.
