I haven't read the whole book, because the translation is a bit messy.. But I copied everything in a Word Doc. to fix the biggest mistakes (english is my 4. language and I'm not that confident...) I startet but didn't finish because.. Life/Work/University
What I read while copying (no self control here ^^) was, that he really starts to love her (or better gets even more obsessive and stuff) but she is strong and intelligent and not a stockholm syndrom pushover! So she always tries to find a way to get away from him and back to her (ex)husband. I guess I missed the point, where he let her go but in the last chapter (or two?) she is back with her husband but pregnant with his (shen's) child. there we learn, that he forced her to an abortion when he found out, she was pregnant with the husband's child, because she tells her husband.. but he said, that they shouldn't kill the child just because shen is the father because they are not like shen and she is the mother and the child will be like her and not like him. Shen did send her a letter, begging her to not abort his child and kills himself. (maybe to show that he sacrifice himself for the child or will never harm her and her family if she keeps it so she will be safe no matter what.. I don't know) But for the emotional intelligent people it's a "happy end" because shen's gone for sure and our heroine managed to win the fight. (So PLEASE do not ship this very abusive killer rapist with anyone else than the electric chair he would have deserved right in the beginning and somehow escaped!)
I did not ship them but when I am a reader, I can't help to be sad for them. TT Good for FL. I happy that the webtoon end this way. At first I thought that will be worse that this//like everyone die//. THX ╮(￣▽￣)╭
