I love how so many people feel bad for this guy even though he probably deserves life in prison or the death penalty. (Also, I don't even think he actually cares about her, he just wants to own her. He kind of treats her like a pet and forgets that she's a human with actual autonomy.)
This is literally why so many guilty people are set free or given light sentences. If they look nice on the outside, we feel bad for them, sympathize with them, or think that they must not be that bad. Maybe people should wear masks or something when they go to court.
