I dont know how to feel about Gallahan

U know its little sad that Ferentia is the child yet she has to be the one to take care of her father and help him grow and not the other way around. I’ve thought about this for awhile now but Ferentia’s dad comes across as a brother figure instead of a father....so much so that its really hard 4 me to believe he was married or going to marry a woman at some point. His character is very confusing to me.

I disagree with your statement . Ferentia’s dad does care for and love Ferentina like a true father but he doesn’t know her plans as she’s just a child in his eyes so WHAT exactly can he support? Ferentia already knows about his low self-esteem despite having amazing ideas so she’s secretly giving him a bit a push while acting like a child. Also, It would be a bit random if he said “I support everything you do sweetie!” while not knowing her ambitions.

Exactly! And the thing I like about Gallahad’s character is yes, he’s a bit of a scaredy cat in aspects concerning himself but will turn into a lion when it comes to Firentia. Firentia’s well-being is more important to him that any others including himself. As they say, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.” And when you have like a child or get married, it’s not like the negative aspects of your personality magically disappears.

Yeah I also disagree. Like the previous commenters stated, I don't think Tia is "taking care" of Gallahan, rather she's encouraging him to step out of his comfort zone so that he can grow his influence. You can also argue that she's doing this for her own benefit since it would solidify her position as the heir to the family (although Gallahan would benefit as well). It's not like she's going around feeding him and clothing him lol

Also, I don't see how Gallahan is failing to care for Tia. He spends a lot of time with her, he's proud of her and he's determined to make a name for himself all for the sake of her future and happiness. And that book with the coming of age gowns he made for her was just so cute dammit.

Not all parents are perfect, but he's trying his best to make up for both his shortcomings and the absence of a mother figure in Tia's life (which he thinks is actually 8 years old) and that's why I love him as a character ╥﹏╥

Thissss!!! It's mostly due to his inexperience that gives him a lack of confidence in what he has to do. He wants to protect his daughter, and even his own sister pushed him in a slightly different course while telling him that he not only has to be the main caretaker to care for her emotional needs, he also has to do what he can with the power he is given at his position to solidify his own peaceful future. Think how Cale Henituse from "Trash of the Count's family" is living. He goes through harsh times for the end result to be peaceful. Do the ends justify the means? In the way they are going about it, I say that they do. Florentia is like that, (not just using her father in such a way but encouraging him like a child would) and slowly building up his confidence in a way she can as a child.
