I read the novel and I’m so curious because after it was revealed that the baby isn’t his the duke sent the emperor a note saying that the baby was his and that the paternity test was manipulated. So was it a lie to make the emperor more stressed out or was the baby actually his?

In the end it turned out it is not his and rishta tried to deceive him even when she knew it wasn't his. I believe that is why she was executed. In the end he was so desperate to get navier (or whatever her majesty name is) back but too bad for him she was already in love.
