Don’t worry, it gets better. There are 23 chapters out on Manta and it gets better and explains why he said “faggot” despite not being actually homophobic.
It’s because he is actually in love with MC and was from first seeing him but he never was attracted to other guys before so he said what he did because of denial, not because he was actually homophobic. They’re together in a relationship now but I suspect that the next chapter(24) is when shit will dog down and the old lady at the farm will be found murdered because MC has plans to go there the next day and looking at the summary her death is a huge part of the story, so drama start brewing soon~
