in the latest chapter we see a flashback where it seems anri raped mutsukuchi. later she falls in love with him
To me, it kind of looked like the seduction of an innocent - perhaps because I have read this scenario too often in yaoi ... Anri is a character, but I don't see him as a rapist per se.

to me this scene didn't really look like she was willing - but take it for what you will. The author probably purposely leaves it vague for different interpretation
I personally dont hate anri anymore or less from the new chapter :)

Yeah, I went back and looked at it before I posted the last comment, but the scene resembles the yaoi scenes so much (the old stereotype of the bodice ripper scenes) that I find myself ambivalent here ... was it non-con or Japanese trope - I am just not sure. Maybe it will be explained in the next chapter?

In manga, they'll say no due to insecurities or it's a public place or whatever, but then you see they are just having the best time and mean yes, yes, yes.
This one seemed totally a no. And in a world where her virginity IS her life, her status, and getting pregnant means you just up and die--well, I'd take no seriously.
It does lool like rape but to me, Anri seems like a character that would seduce the girl and while having sex, he makes fun of her and makes her hate him. That's so Anri.
The rape scene was horrible. I mean, rape is already bad, but when pregnancy is not only possible but certain death along with pregnancy... brrrrrrr. I felt such bad chills and officially hate the "brother" now... fuck him
