Lmaoo i’m chalking it up to the fact that Jin used to live in that run down underground shithole with his loyal henchmen when he wasn’t big time gangster yet. Jin has a flashback while he walks with Matthew to his studio and he remembers that the place he used to live in only had a tiny slit to let in sunlight and they always had problems with flooding when it rained.
If you notice the aesthetic of the manhwa is very dim and cold it might because he's the "tough" guy and he's dead inside so it makes him look cold dead and emotionless idk just my thought
