Technically. Survey the scene —> call for help to call emergency services and get the AED—> call attention of patient (no response) —> compressions
The shock is initiated if the AED device determines if patient has a shockable condition. If yes then proceed and continue compressions after until stable

Sometimes I sit here and wonder if the medical info in this is even correct-
I’ve seen wayyyy too many scenes where a character’s heart stopped and they go right in with AER/defibrillator or the “charge, 300j, ready” thing lmao. Technically you shouldn’t do that, you Gould be doin CHEST COMPRESSIONSSSSS
