think about what? A reason why she did that? her psychology? The way she sees things? Guess what,I don't care. She could have suffered terrible things in her life but that will never justify her actions towards an innocent kid. If someone like her gets charged with abuse I highly doubt the judge will consider her "point of view". Many criminals and murders had a terrible past but that will never erase their own actions. Also,many other people had a terrible past but they didn't become monsters.

If she wants to stop being a monster, she can go to therapy and work on her issues, show serious remorse and progress, and try humbly to make amends.
