I dont wanna indulge in my trauma but to make it short: He transcended death multiple times but he reaches his own form of an “end” which is a very lonely, sad path but it’s for the greater good...plus you get to see different POVs of how his end affected his comrades so its just gloom galore.
At the very veryy end tho(the epilogue is loooooong), it’s open ended and there was a hint of a happy ending but it literally ended before u could establish that “hope” so it still left a void in my heart that i tried to desperately fill with post epilogue fanfiction lmao

As much as i would love to...the hope that i felt from the very last part wasnt...idk, wasnt really established..? Idk how to explain it but it felt like a fever dream. I needed it to be more solidified, like more confirmation that he really is...back...like even just a tiny dialogue or something for me to really feel “excited” or “positive” about it....in my case, my emotions stayed more at the “ending” rather than the epilogue ending(like the literal last part) bcs the “ending” was solidified.
Thats not to say i wasnt satisfied tho. Thats what makes open-endings magnificent after all...it’s the sense of the unknown and so many possibilities that makes them bittersweetly satisfying.

Our baby(kdj)'s life was already sad enough from his childhood to the begining of scenarios, after the scenarios began he transcended death a lot of times for the sake of his comrades, he continued to do that to the very end (▰˘◡˘▰)
The epilogue was sad but I loved it because it was his companions part to help him even if the chances were low, I hoped if there were at last one more line to establish the ending more but that's how the open ending works, so I clung to the hope that every thing his comrades did in the epilogue got rewarded and he definitely woke up, if he didin't then the last part when yjh went to publish the story was meaningless and I believe that there aren't any meaningless part in this story
