to be honest the red fox is my favorite character. his son with the priestess as well.
it's quiet interesting how his relationship woth his son and the boy san are one of the best relationships in the story,,, even his relationship with the queen had more potential. it's with them that he seems to be more of himself to,,,
at least he seems to be as articulate and aware of what is happening,,.his conversation with the diviner son is the most affectionate and honest the fox has been the whole story,, he is very on point when he says that not even him can control himself,, which is very fitting since he is the manifestation of human desire
that he stops, listens and has an actual conversation, listening to the diviner boy and giving honest responses, takes the same form he used when he became a father, and says that he will kill him when the time comes was eerie like mercy. the story makes it very clear that there is nothing more merciful than death
