I agree with the last bit, my guess is because it's their connection in their past life. From what we see in the flashbacks, he doesn't immediately fall for her so I think it's safe to say that even he doesn't know why he's drawn to her and it's probably something to do with souls or whatever
I saw Ditrian so composed by the beginning, it's getting me a bit confused how he could fall in love with the FL so fast. I know she saved Enoch and his brother remains, but there is a difference btw to be grateful and to be in love with someone you just meet...
They barely didn't have a real conversation (she passed out the first 2 times) and he was already head over heels for her.
I will believe it is something as love at first sight or something about his souls remembering her...
