Its quite possible though. My old neighboor was asian, his wife whit. They got 2 kids. One was asian looking, the other didnt.

I look white, but i have amber eyes, turn realllly brown with little sunlight, and my hair is a mix of western and african.
I see. I myself am purely Chinese, and I’m no genetic enthusiast, so it certainly is possible the twins are, of some degree, Asian defendants. I guess what I was trying to say is that the twins look completely white, live in a western society, and surrounded by white or non Asian people. So it was sus to me these seemingly white people are in an Asian setting, and it looked to me that the Asian elements were simply for aesthetics. Maybe my original comment was from the wrong angle, and what I should be saying is the author preferring white features and using asian elements as “oriental”, “magical”, othering. Which is rooted in white supremacy anyway
Not sure what ethnicity the author is, but the blatant use of Asian culture for aesthetics is astounding. And it’s not like “the characters are Asian” excuse can be said when the twins are blonde and green eyed. I’ve just read the first chapter and I’m not continuing so if it turns out suddenly their ancestors are Asian and some white person came into the bloodline and the twins magically have blonde hair and green eyes, well
