One is someone who was born as a the lowest level commoner bastard lacking in noble education (and not educated properly except as a money making tool) who has inferiority complex against the other nobles because despite all his wealth and power, he knows his blood will never be a noble thus the other thing he can surpass everyone is through money which he sees as something others are obsessed with other than blood. The lack of affection and emotional reliance shows that he lacks the ability to be emphatic like a normal person because he's too obsessed with his goal and inferiority. While the other is a reserved, obedient and responsible but also tremendous guilt carrying, aside from being abused and guiltripping, she has no one to confide in because her husbands thinks the best thing he can give her is wealth due to her background. This dynamic is meddled by the 3rd party which ruins their relationship more eventhough both wants to have good relationships with each other.
