What I know about genes are, we have both dominant and recessive traits in humans. Dominant traits, brown eyes or dimples while recessive traits are like blue eyes and no dimples.
While these traits can only be received by the genes from our parents or our blood related family, for example, your mother's side uncle has blue eyes, but your parents dont, and suddenly you do. That can be said as recessive genes that exists in your parents has been passed down to you.
However, if we are talking about sickness that are bloodline related, we all aware that men have xy chromosomes while women have xx chromosomes. These xx chromosomes in women can be one of the reason why a family have some diseases that are passed on to their children. However, when you have theoretically 4 child 1 boy and the rest is girl.
There are possibilities that one girl from all of the childrens are carrier due to their xx chromosomes. While xy chromosomes, can only be determined either infected or not, there's no in-between. Which is why i said HOW do the xy chromosomes in male can cause that said male a carrier, when the lack of smaller strands of chromosomes unlike xx chromosomes.

Okay, i get it, our mc is literally a walking vaccine.
But, I just want to know, like scientifically, how can a male carries a recessive gene the way female does, like how does that work, other than that BL logic.
How the chromosomes work? How the defense system of a body can like do what our MC could. Or maybe it's not about the gene, it's about the virus itself but HOW??
