Oi don't blame S Korea! This is very cliche for romance. I mean in Bridgerton the dude is trash too and the FL is worse for raping her husband. 50 Shades was mega popular despite being equally trash so abusive relationships have always been romanticized. Maybe authors think healthy relationships are too stable and boring
I didn’t watch either “Bridgerton” or “50 Shades...” nor do I want to if it’s going to be toxic and abusive. One thing I will say, just because the abusive toxic relationship is popular and wrong, it doesn’t justify the toxic relationship in this webtoon. 2 wrong doesn’t make a right.
However, I do admit it is not just S. Korea that does this.
I really like the lewd acts, but the plot and the ML is trashy. Why do they have to make him an asshole who starved his wife and full of pride. I’m starting to think that S.Korea is full of people like that since there is so many webtoons with this type of ML. Then the ML is about to lose the FL thus changing, not because they care about her but because nobody has ever acted like that towards them. I still am rooting for the FL and her Smexy time but I need the ML to hurry up and change, don’t make it drag out
