I think this mangaka is an exceptional author, though I will admit that the art is also one of my favorite. A lot of the comments I've read say that this manga is sad, but I think that it's a good dash of reality. It's hard to be anything that's out of the ordinary in society, no matter if people accept you or not. The point is that they don't understand you and in terms of love, they don't reciprocate. So in truth, it is hard not to feel inferior or angry that people can't understand, which is why I love pretty much all the mangas Hino Garasu creates. They aren't picture perfect like the movies, but give insight on reality. After I read this manga and pouring over it a few more times, I think that the mangaka is conveying the message that: Life is hard, and sometimes it's sad and tragic. But sometimes, though life can be marred with tragedy and sadness, it can still spread its wings and soar.
