???? he got the human form in chapter 10/volume 2, he's had the human form for like 89% of the story so far???
also doesn't seem accurate to say he became human, he was already human before reincarnating into a slime so he was always human at heart
POTENTIALLY SPOILER(if you aren't caught up): it is mentioned in later chapters that the possible reason the monster's he named look so human after they evolved is because he was human and still thinks like a human
I am curious what you meant or what part you felt it went downhill? for me the only part I didn't really care for/don't understand the point of was the teaching arc
idk if it will become more significant later on since I haven't read the web novel or light novel but to me so far it felt kinda unnecessary other than to maybe develop shizu more since she her involvement in the story was really brief
Hahah sorry for that, i got frustrated with his character and strength inconsistency when he first transformed over from slime to human.
I loved his slime form so much and felt that the story was taking a turn towards a regular human MC instead of the intriguing slime concept it all started as. Hell, it even felt like the story changed to a whole different MC altogether at first.
I've caught up now, and while the plot is moving forward amazing, and i've accepted his human form as him, i still kind of wish to see every battle with him being the most fearful slime. With all its unique glory instead of people just clashing swords.
p/s: i think the children will have a role in taking down the potential final boss (black hair kid)
congrats, glad you caught up!
I get what you mean with wanting to see him fight as a slime more often, there definitely were instances that it would of felt good especially since so many characters look down on him for being a slime! I kinda wish the current fight with Clayman had gone that route tbh but I can also see why he stayed in human form since the fight is infront of the other demonlords.
Maybe rimuru could be in slime form when he finishes clayman off? kind of like with the orc lord fight but hopefully for longer. I would really like for the other characters in the series to see not to underestimate him for being a slime
I hope the children will eventually have more of an impact! but they really only gave significant foreshadowing for Chloe (the blackhaird girl) I kinda wish they would of used that arc to develop Yuuki more so the reveal at the end of the latest chapter felt more impactful. I'm also not really sure how to feel about the other student of Shizu's, the one with the church, since we haven't seen much of her or gotten to really know her yet.
Slime rimuru is just fkn cute and disarming. Human rimuru gives off a feel of indifference/power. I guess human form would just express more emotions and explain his character more. If the author actually managed to pull off a slime rimuru full of emotions, hats off. (Imagine the killing 10000 human arc with slime rimuru being super pissed off and merciless. God thats just cute. Which is NOT the intended emotion )
Idk about hinata, she pisses me off tbh. Zero willingness to listen and though she might have her reasons for hating monsters, so far she just seems like a brainless mercenary with no empathy. Arrogant too :/ The foreshadowing seems to show hinata will be an OP opponent but will eventually be on the good side, but ugh.... Dislikes her lol....
personally I really want to see an arogenate opponent (like how claymen was) getting beat by this cute op slime, knock em down a peg lol
and oh man yeah I don't really care for her either and that part really irked me too but that was prob what we were supposed to feel
I'm waiting to see what the church really is (since it seems to be secretly controlled by a demon lord) and how she became affiliated with it but tbh I kinda hope we don't see her again for a while

I wish he never took the form of the human girl. Loved it better when he was a slime, so cute.. story went a little downhill and his character is showing inconsistency ever since he became human
