Sorry for the many qnuestion, im just very obssissed with this story (=・ω・=)

it's kinda confusing but basically the real yvonne is really sweet but she's dead. she died not even an hour after she was separated from her brothers, she was killed and a demon thingy possessed her body. It is a member of Leila which is like this cult and it's also the thing that (i think it was vinter that mentioned it) vinter mentioned when talking about wizards and stuff. after normal mode ended with yvonne's happy ending with callisto, she freed leila and killed everyone. Vinter managed to survive and he broke free of the brainwashing. he verbally apologizes to penelope (well technically he apologized to air bc penelope was dead and so was everyone else) for being such a fool and for being brainwashed. He sacrifices himself to turn back time bc he knows penelope is the only one that can stop yvonne...and thus hard mode began. each time time the other male lead's killed penelope, vinter sacrificed himself to bring her back. vinter was the reset button (he's also the second male lead). The brainwashing that she used affecte a person's perception of penelope...it didn't make them do anything (emphasis on didn't make them do anything). the abuse she faced by the eckarts was 100% them and the brainwashing didn't begin until after she entered the duchy. If a person already knew what kind of person penelope was, then the brainwashing didn't affect them at all...which is why callisto and vinter were immune. if you want any more spoilers ask more questions bc i don't know where to start lol.

Because each time it happened the Penelope of the story becomes stupid and falls in the trap of yovenne
And then tgw marquis vinter will know it all but it will be too late so he sacrifice his self to turn back time

But this shit keeps happening each time the original story ends with Penelope dying and yuvonne bring the world to end

Till the real sooyeon ( Penelope right now ) acts differently because of the system ( ancient wizard souls ) apparently Penelope was their descendant so she is able to use the ancient magic which is the only way to defeat the Leila clan

crap i forgot to mention this oops. penelope was killed so many times that her soul shattered and a fragment of her soul was reincarnated on earth (our earth). that fragment was then reincarnated back into the game. so this penelope is the real penelope but she doesn't have her memories of all the stuff that she experienced before.

haha thanks but you wrote it well..i just like to write a lot. idk if i worded it weird but i meant that vinter was brainwashed but not in the timeline that we're following rn. In this timeline he falls in love with penelope and the same with callisto. although vinter was unrequited and callisto's love was mutual.
I agree that her experience on earth is probably what led to her succeeding this time in stopping yvonne. Her remembering her experiences also played a major factor because what good with those experiences do if she forgot them.
Reading it is so worth it but I'll be honest i skipped the beginning and started reading when she was getting on the carriage for the hunting competition. It was at that time that I wanted to read the novel and I didn't want to reread what i'd already seen so i just skipped ahead and started reading at that part lol.

i mean like everyone was dead so it's not like anyone would hear his apology...well to be fair she did end up hearing it just not at that time. The game screen ended up showing her what happened after normal mode ended and she saw and heard vinter and his apology. He really isn't a shit head tbh. all he did was bring yvonne (which is shit but thats all he did) bc his role was simply to cheer up yvonne when she was sad and use his magic to figure out penelope's plans and stopping them (though never harming her). Callisto and Vinter are the two male lead's who never had any interactions with Penelope but their behavior while being brainwashed is different bc of who they are as a person. Vinter's flaw is his trust issues but he's a really kind person. He has trust issues bc he's not only responsible for his own life, but also the kids that he's protecting so he can't just trust people and later ends up testing her (in this timeline that is; they had no interactions in normal mode). Callisto's flaw is his anger issues. He just goes around killing people and gets angry very easily so his actions towards penelope while being brainwashed were especially cruel (forced her to ingest every poison she tried to give to yvonne which ended up killing penelope). Their morals affect how they behave towards Penelope while being brainwashed. The other 3 male lead's have had personal interactions with her. Eclise may have felt pity for Penelope but he did ended up betraying her (i'm referring to normal mode rn but he betrays her in both) for Yvonne since he was supposed to be penelope's knight. Before Penelope went to go fight Yvonne (that was the plan but then eclise kidnapped her and callisto had to go rescue her...then she went to go fight yvonne) she was talking with vinter (while he was on fire...bc of his sacrifice to bring her back if she dies/fails) and she was asking all these what if questions. She asked him what if she fails, to which he responded by saying "Don't worry, my lady. I'm here to turn back time". She asked what would happen if she didn't come back after he turned back time (meaning everyone would die) and this is a direct quote from the novel (this was a heart warming/breaking scene so i screenshotted lol)

Then she asked if he would be freed from the magic circle if she succeed and he said that he didn't know, so then she told him that she'd try her hardest (to win) and he responded with "don't try to hard". He was trying to make sure she wasn't feeling pressured and told her that i'd be fine no matter the outcome bc even if everyone died (including him) then it'd just be their punishment for their treatment of penelope. Later when she went to go rescue him from the magic mirror, he says "If I say that I want this time to last forever, you'd think that's ludicrous" (meaning he wants to stay in that moment forever...as in with penelope...even though that place was like a prison for him). She realizes that he's still in love with her and she tells him that she loves callisto and he's like blank for a moment and with teary eyes says "Now his highness [callisto] is by your side to make the lady [penelope] laugh." Also after she drinks poisoned wine (knowingly drank it despite knowing it was poisoned bc she wanted to kill herself or use it as an excuse to leave the duchy), vinter is the one who saves her bc he had the antidote (he was shaking the whole time he was trying to give her the antidote). They had this super angsty conversation afterwards where she was mad bc she thought he still didn't trust her and that he brought the antidote to save yvonne. He tells her that he brought it to cover for her not to save yvonne. He didn't want her to get into any trouble. He then begs her to take advantage him and tells her he'll do anything she asks of him as long as she doesn't put herself in danger. She asks him all these what if questions. "what if you're exposed as a wizard" "i've already prepared for that if anything happened with the poison" "what if i ask you to kill yvonne" "then i'll ask the assassins guild and turn myself in" the only thing that made him pause is the children bc he's also protecting them. Anyways my point is he really isn't all that bad.

So basically after penelope's soul shattered, she didn't come back anymore (and that's what penelope was asking vinter about in my other spoiler where she said what if i fail and i also don't come back to the past) and the world stopped and eternity passed (ik i just repeated the last part but it's pretty self explanatory). A fragment of her soul reincarnated in another world and that is our korean girl...but she doesn't have her memories of her past life as penelope. That fragment of her soul is what reincarnated back into the game. So our korean girl was penelope all along.
