You are aware that Bleach is a shounen manga right? If I wanted to watch a girl worship a man she barely knew and have a 'persistence pays' ending I would read shoujo. Such a ridiculous comparison.

and so? it's not because it's a shounen that it can't have a little bit of romance and a kind/"useless" girl in it XD. A shounen is not just a bunch of guys who fight each other all the time. It's all about balance, and bleach is really well balance between epic fight and feelings.
You got him Orihime! You finally got him!!! So happy they finished together. A lot of people doesn't like Orihime but i totally love her. I really have a thing for kind girl in mangas, like Tohru in Fruits basket (my ultimate bias). And Orihime is not weak at all, being able to show so much kindness and compassion even toward your ennemy, i find her really strong. ^^
