Yea I think so to bc how he use to dress him as a girl when he was little
Or he just hates him coz he is a mistake....some people don't need children especially when they are illegitimate. They don't have parental feelings .

my number one theory is that he wants Ilyan to be ruined because of his jealousy, you know since he is the spitting image of his father. or another reason can be ilyan's mother died bc of him and the father is blaming him for the loss of his wife.
