like not to defend him bcos it still wasn’t the best way to go about his jealousy but he didn’t throw the ball to purposefully hurt his friend
he said that his friend would normally catch it so i think he just threw the ball, thinking his friend would catch it, to draw his attention away from the girl he was talking to
