He does NOT get raped again, gu! Sudou ejaculates over Akihito's ass, but that's it. He doesn't penetrate. @Anonymous

So if someone stripped your pants off and rubbed themselves off on your bare ass, you'd be just fine with someone saying "Well, at least it wasn't rape," right? Because as long as it's not penetration, it's no big deal.

It's only manga, of course RL is different. The person was just clarifying and they are correct…Rape is sexual *intercourse* carried out forcibly. No intercourse therefore no rape. Of course Sudouh is still a scummy sexual harasser bastard and we should chop his balls off - but it wasn't rape.

It was sexual assault (in this case without penetration)

Yes, in most jurisdiction's there are various levels of sex crimes. This is sexual activity without consent, but "rape" is sex without consent. The lack of consent makes it both immoral and a crime, but sex (usually defined as intercourse) without consent is a higher level of offense.

Additionally, as Rommy said, this is fiction so we need to look at the role it plays in the story (because everyone agrees that it is wrong in RL --I think). I may be cynical, but I think the role this particular scene plays in the story is "We haven't seen Aki's butt in a while--let's think of a reason to draw his butt and someone's penis." In a more charitable mood,it shows how far Sudou has fallen into crazy town.

Yeah, the sexual assault can be perpetrated with or without penetration (a major crime with penetration).
I'm agree with you about the 'role' the entire scene has in this context, even if threatening someone with a knife while saying 'I didn't expect to fall in love with him this much' might be enough to qualify Sudou. *o* And all the 'rapey' matter was just for the sake of showing Aki's round and beautiful ass. -_-

Please don't put words in my mouth or insinuate what I do or do not think. I NEVER said it was fine. I NEVER said it was "no big deal". I was clarifying that it was, as others have stated as well, not rape, but sexual assault - and there is a difference, notably so in the world of manga and very much so in the context of this manga. Also, and as others have pointed out, RL and manga are two different animals. Something which you may want to bear in mind while reading manga and commenting on the remarks of others.

As a matter of fact, if every molestation as per your definition was a rape, Akihito was "raped" by the Russians on the yacht (where he also had his pants pulled down and was molested) and on countless other occasions during the story thus far. Yet he wasn't.

Most of all, there is this moment from the extended scenes where Akihito and Asami have sex that very same night: Asami asks Akihito (both already naked, Aasami behind Akihito's ass): "What did Sudou do to you?" To which Akihito replies: "Nothing." To which Asami says: "Show me." And Akihito basically presents his entrance to him and they have sex. And let's not forget: Akihito was the one who initiated sex that night, not Asami.

doesnt that called rape ? @gu

It is sexual assault, rape generally means penetration without consent (coercion with penetration is also rape - so Sakazaki raped Akihito) It is just a matter of degree in the eyes of the law. Then again, I read a story where a woman said she was sexually assaulted when a boy shaped water gun squirted her ... so)

I love this, accusing someone of putting words in your mouth and then turning around and putting words in their mouth. Where did the other poster say every molestation was a rape? You guys are a riot.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. You walked right into your own trap there, didn't you? Where did "I" ever say that you "Pftt" considered "every molestation to be rape"? The poster called "gu" said that Akihito had been "raped again". I was pointing out to "gu" that he hadn't in fact been raped (as in non-con sexual intercourse). Then "pftt" said in reply to me: "So if someone stripped your pants off and rubbed themselves off on your bare ass, you'd be just fine with someone saying "Well, at least it wasn't rape," right? Because as long as it's not penetration, it's no big deal. " Which was clearly putting words in my mouth. I explained that I, as others had done, had merelely pointed out the fact that this was sexual assualt, not a rape including penetration.

User "Pftt" makes it very clear in her reply, that if someone rubbed themselves off on your bare ass, she has a problem with it not being called "rape". So I said that with that point of view, SOME (!!!) other scenes in Viewfinder might also be viewed as "rape" - but haven't been considered to be so. The example I gave was the scene on the yacht, where Mikhail pulled Akihito's pants down as well and molested him. I chose that particular example to show how similar the scenarios were (pants down, unwanted molestation), since that is the scenariao she, "Pftt", referred to.

I also pointed towards the extended scene that sensei has drawn for the upcoming Volume 8 release with the sex scene that happened that very night between Asami and Akihito only a few hours after the Sudou incident (you cannot find it here on mangago, but some scanlation groups have translated it). Asami and Akhito are on the bed. Akhito already naked. Asami in trousers, shirt open. Asami behind Akihito. Asami asks the already naked Akihito: "What did Sudou do?" - Akhito: "Nothing." - Asami: "Show me." Akihito then offers his entrance, Asami checks it with his fingers, very thoroughly, then says: "It's a good color." and they have proceed to have sex (after that, the penthouse attack happens). Also, Akihito initiated sex that night - something which you might not want to do if you had been "raped" a view hours earlier. [/sarcasm] And clearly neither Akihito nor Asami consider what happened earlier to have been "rape".

I never said at any point that according to "Pftt" "every molestation was rape". So again, stop putting words in my mouth, please. But I guess you are actually just trying to provoke a reaction and get the wind up around here. So this is where the discussion ends, I'm afraid. Please go and find another board where you can troll. Thank you.
