So i read this a long time ago and just cant remember the name. the only things that i remember is that it is set in the past, is might be Chinese, the Fl has purple hair and the ML has white/greyish hair (from what i remember). The really loved each other. near the end a war started and the FL fell down a cliff, the ML sent his trustful subordinate but neither the subordinate or the FL came back. The ML was so made that he defeated all the kingdoms/empire etc. It might have something to do with a Phoenix either in the title or in the story itself or even both Sorry if this is a bad description, its been many years since I've read this and its been on my mind a lot.
