She took it away because she wasn't a saintess in the first place. She was just a temporary priestess to fill in until the real saintess is born.
She had saintess powers but only temporarily. She was a fill in and as soon as the real saintess was born she lost her powers. The powers she has right now isn't from the saintess but from some evil being that made a deal with her.

She was 15 when she got her powers and lost them when the FL was born. That's why she keeps abusing her because her main reason is that because of the FL she lost most of her powers.
can someone spoil me a bit? why did the goddess take back the powers from leticia's mother, or why did she give them to her in the forst place?
