I also agree with you. This chapter was hard to read. But I have something to say and I could be wrong. Maybe Kyle was trying to exploit Ilyan or might be taking advantage of the situation so Ilyan will learn. Nevertheless, I could never agree with that method (if that was what Kyle is aiming for). Maybe he was getting tired at some point.

Indeed it's not the method, I love kyle and thought he was the best bf but the author did not manage this topic with delicacy and made kyle look bad, probably it wasn't the author intention but it came out wrong, and it's really sad cause kyle was an amazing character that wouldn't have done this, he's always shown to be sweet and understanding, that does care for Ilyian, that's what makes it more disappointing

Maybe deep down, he's blaming himself for not taking enough care of Ilyan :(( But I don't think this chapter was bad because it can be seen that Kyle is also desperate. This shows that not everyone can last at some point and that not everyone is perfect. It was realistic enough for us to see that the characters are undergoing a dilemma which will either strengthen or stain their relationship soon. I hope this never backfires into their relationship because we all know that Kyle has been doing his best as well as Ilyan. However, Kyle was at the wrong even though Ilyan asked him to. Well, I could be wrong but that was what I interpreted after reading this particular chapter.
For me this is not realistic at all, normal people (at least in a healthy relationship) wouldn't have had sex in this situation instead of talking and communicating or even fighting, cause as you said they are humans, but this is so noooot the moment for sex or kinks like peeing, noup and addictions and withdrawal symptoms here are not depictioned how it should be, its really sugar coated, because it's really worse than this (with renal and liver failure and actual signs of alcoholism), that's why it's even less likely to have sex in this situation unless the couple has Chernobyl's level of toxicity in their relationship, ofc I understand this is a work of fiction and it doesn't need to be accurate, I still believe this is a really delicate issue to be treated like this but well this is yaoi, I wasn't expecting too much either, obviously kyle is doing this while suffering but having sex its not the only way the author could have depictioned that
Yes! And that's why Im mad the aothor had to put a sex scene here just cause is yaoi or BL, it doesn't go at all with kyle's character structure as it has been shown ╥﹏╥
