ngl as a lesbian, i REALLY liked this manga
it's well written and the characters' emotions are /so/ realistic, how can y'all not see it
i don't really care about the cheating part, but i wouldn't have really cared even if it was a bl manga or a sl manga !! i'm not justifying it just bc it is a gl, let's make it clear
(it's fiction, not reality, so,,,)
also !!!! the fact that, even if they're lesbians, they stay in straight relationships is /so/ real (most of the time it's a sort of self harm!!)
the author drew this amazingly bc we can easily see the light in hotaru's eyes disappear whenever she is with her boyfriend, but when she is with yamu...? wow, she's SO bright

anywayyyy,,, yeah, that was a good read ヾ(☆▽☆)

Yes, this is really Naoko Kodama's strength. Most of these stories with exciting smug rapey love interests have ridiculous misunderstandings and emotions that don't make sense but Naoko manages to keep it extremely grounded and realistic. These characters wonder and think about realistic things and their own confusion with themselves and their feelings remain grounded.

The story would have worked just as well if Hotaru were Yuma's brother or something like that. All it needs is some “reason” as to why Takeda suspects nothing and some “taboo” to their relationship. Naoko also made many stories with male love interests and they were just as good.
