U're soooooo right, love or hate was unique in that sense, i hated everyone in that history but the author made me feel empathy for all of them and even proud of them at the and and gave it a nice ending too. This one is giving me the same sensation u described, like it had a nice point when the uke dropped the money and focused in himself, i think Cain could been a nice "starting againg" point too in that part but wtf happened to that actitude to the uke? Why are the 3 always arguing or in weird dramatic and totally unnecessary situations, like now is giving me the feeling that even the author is lost? I lost all interest in this one but yeah nice art tho
The ending for Love or Hate was so cliche though. Everyone knew Haesoo and Joowon would be endgame just from the step-sibling trope alone. There was so much potential in that story and personally, I felt absolutely no growth from the two main characters.
But everything about Yours to Claim, I agree with. Just like Love or Hate, this one should have been a story where the first toxic lead is dumped in exchange for the better option, and to show that although the main character has attachment issues, codependency, or is just plain naïve, can grow to learn to live without the asshole and move on with his life. The problem is that when it comes to these webtoons, most of the authors don’t actually care about the story or making their characters good or realistic besides getting the main pair together. And that’s why I see no wrong in the complaints reader’s make. I kind of wish Lezhin had a comment section (idk if it does) so that the authors can take some notes. There’s actually good BLs around without the toxicity and circling around the plot, but there’s unfortunately not that many.
The author started of on the right direction but introduced Cain who proves to be more popular than yahwi. The author then got stuck and didn’t know what to do. Forgot to develop jooin character and gave us a piss poor background/character development for yahwi which didn’t endear him to any new fans. I’m a firm believer yahwi was meant to be end game but now author is dithering and story getting lost in the sauce because she created a second ML who grew bigger than the story intended.

I want to address the elephant in the room. Feel free to blame me, it's just my opinion BUT i'm sure atleast a few of you have noticed this. The writing of this manga is moving from bad to worse point blank.Mind you i'm not a creator or a know it all , i'm merely a reader BUT i can't ignore the fact that basically 50+ chapters later, half the plot that passed by till now was smut all backed up by AMAZING ART and the what else? What was it? We have an assaulter continuously being pompous and defending his actions, an uke who has absolutely no clue or self esteem and a 2nd lead who's better than the former but is obviously a plot device that'll be discarded in the future. I know it's not finished obviously but, the plot holes & the lack of research are starting to show and it's such a turn off to read this & there is only so much that 'art' alone can save. It feels silly. The coiins costs a fortune in my country. I stopped spending them on this and i'm currently saving up for others. This manga even dropped a few positions in the popular chart. I dunno if they're trying to pull a 'loveorhate 2.0' here but it's not even CLOSE to how complex the characters were there. Honestly disappointed.
