Same chapter where He Tian sees his brother did not in fact kill his dog or get rid of it but has been taking care of it the whole time and his bro brought him to see the dog coz it was dying

And He Tian is sad in this chapter coz after the play the three of them went out to chill and Little Mo went straight home
He Tian is sad coz he knows his days with Mo and the boys are numbered

if you paid attention, everyone knows that this story has really fucked up sad themes behind it. and that all of this is a flashback.
it’s not that important, he just leaves? if there are only three and Mo is just arriving home then… 2+2=4. Mo went home early lol.
they’re all sad because they know their happy times are coming to an end. Mo had fun but sees his sickly mom laying in bed and he feels guilt and i suppose wants to support her. But all of this boils up resulting in him angrily crushing his homework.
They’re not sad except for Mo and the black haired dude who’s sensing that their times are going to be over soon or will be over.

Imma leaves this here bc m done writing essays (sorry if I sounded harsh btw ^^), it will explain you the meaning of this chap. And for ht telling mo he will leave, that was just some theories bc ppl were confused. I’ll add that if u’re also careful reading the story precisely at ch.348, it was already like a preview of the future angsty chapters, the author just distracted us (which worked since everyone forgot the angsty part) with funny n fluff chaps before the angst. To be honest after ch.348 pple already knew there will be angst but ox just give us the previous chaps to warm our heart bf torturing us... so it is not really out of blue.
Wait, the last chapter He Tian was helping Lil mo pee. Now this chapter everyone is sad. It gives no explanation on why they are sad. People think He Tian told Li Mo he was leaving. But we the readers did not see the conversation. That conversation is to important to just skip. It would be odd to leave out the conversion of him leaving when it was such a big deal to the story. I have not missed a chapter so it's just like (Huh, where is this coming from?) Bad writing has everyone confused.
