FOR THOSE CONFUSED ONES July 5, 2021 8:44 pm

Something like a recap:

People have limited heartbeats and if they use them all up (no matter at what age), they die. Therefore, kids are heavily monitored in schools to "prepare" them for life by teaching them how to lower the number of their heartbeats and lead a "stable" life.

OK. By now, everyone should know that if you fall in love, your heartbeats will automatically go up in the company of that person, not to mention hugging, kissing etc. (Apparently; I've never actually checked it myself.) We also have angst, fear, anxiety, physical activity...
Now, this throws some light on that first story.

Also, as expected with everything else in life, if there is a limited access to something that's necessary for a comfortable life, there WILL BE rich people trying to buy it at ANY price and with ANY MEANS POSSIBLE. Therefore, it is said in this story something about how love is a luxury for rich people. Now, my guess is that there is organized group collecting homeless children from streets and putting them in dormitories under the pretence of nurturing them as sports stars; but, instead, they are monitoring their hearts and condition to find the best ones for forcible transplantation. SIMPLY PUT, they take homeless kids, make them do sports, monitor their heartbeats and then take their heart if they manage to keep their heartbeats low during extreme exertion. This was about second story.

The doctor in the last story was the one who, probably, figured out why people were dying. So, she teamed up with that engineer (or whatever) and made a bracelet so they could somehow monitor how much time a person has before their death. Of course, they didn't expect that people would use it as a tool to cheat their death by heart transplants or whatever they're doing. I assume that doctor wanted to help everyone to get their life and affairs in order before their death, try to maybe extend their life by monitoring increase in heartbeats and learn to lower them and in some way use that bracelet to maybe find a cure or something? Idk.
It's apparent that doctor is now living in some sort of a "rebel group" outside of the city, constantly moving around and possibly planning a revolution? She realizes that this kind of dangerous life (there is something happening in the background in one week or something, someone betraying them?) is not for a child and she's trying to get a bracelet for that little girl and send her to safety inside the city walls to live a comfortable, although all kinds of limited, life.

Also, this story is all over the place and translation is not the best (this could be story's fault too, because the first translation wasn't easily understandable either), but WE STILL APPRECIATE YOUR HARD WORK, TRANSLATOR! Thank you for doing this.

That would be all, thank you for coming to my TED talk. *bows*

Edit: Shit, forgot to add spoiler warning.
