I think his obsession of the MC stems from the fact the MC was ‘untouchable’ and ‘clean’ from a well off family. He almost seems perfect and when the ML found out his ‘weaknesses’ it triggered a feeling of power and sick perverse knowing he has this control over someone he thought to be untouchable. I’m curious on season 2, I guess that’s when the title of the story truly comes into play.
(If there was more on the ML’s background or P.O.V I have a head cannon that he actually probably already had a crush on the MC but when he found out how he fucked around with guys and etc it turned twisted, especially since he keeps gaslighting the MC about seducing guys and because he’s too pretty it’s his fault).
