I think the first chapter was a flashback, and Jesse now has amnesia. For whatever reason, Rull is either 1) messing with him, 2) doing some sort of experiment, 3) something else. Not really sure what at this point. That's the mystery.
I have to be honest, im sooo lost, so i would appreciate some explanation. So far, this is what i've got. The blonde guy was the one that tried to kill the brunette and yet he's acting like nothing happened between them just because the brunette has amnesia?
