Many readers are way too disturb with the incest thing, but I think that's just the way it was before, especially on higher-class families. Maybe we don't get to read articles about it too much, but I'd bet my ass they also did it secretly just like in this story. I mean, we're talking about a timeline where countries are still ruled by dukes, etc. etc. Maybe you don't favor incest, but you can't change history.
