A fresh take

Ok, so it's 100% reasonable to be pissed if your spouse cheated, etc.

But here is the thing I want to remind everyone of: the belief that he can't have kids with her is an assumption. It is not a fact. There is a lack of data on this, however, the assumption that there being no data (since the imperial family has not been in a relationship with someone of his race/ethnicity) does not lead to the conclusion that they can't have kids. All it tells us that research needs to be carried out.

Thus within this case, he had two choices:
1)see her as a cheater
2)consider the fact that perhaps his assumption was incorrect.

He chose option 1 which is understandable (since it's an emotional reaction) but at the same time, this shows us that he is far more willing to believe that she is a cheater than to reconsider his views. I think that this fits his character very well since throughout the story he has been prioritizing what he believes she wants/what her intentions are over actually being open-minded and communicating. The other explanation of his behavior is him not understanding basic science/logic (which matches an uneducated individual but also doesn't vibe with him being a smart businessman - making it into a conflicting explanation). I mean either option could work IMO.

Of course, we as viewers understand that she isn't actually pregnant, so this theory/idea is ignoring the extra information we have and entirely focusing on the knowledge that is available to him.

Personally, I would have preferred a dual approach of both choice 1 or 2 as that seems the most realistic. This could help the author develop his character and it could be used to show more examples of his point of view as there would be a lot of personal conflicts that he would be dealing with. On one hand, he would be suspecting that he cheated, on the other hand, he would also be taking her character into account (which he has to start taking interest in, like what kind of ml are you if you don't even get to know the personality of your lover?) while also rethinking his past beliefs.

Spoiler:
Well they will end up making miniature humans together so yeah his assumption is 100% wrong ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

what pissed me off wasn't his assumption that she cheated, bc that's a valid reaction tbh, but what he said to her in his confrontation, how she had nothing and belonged to him. it was disgusting, and really showed winter's character past all the misunderstandings. he's awful.

I agree. Honestly, I really would prefer for him not to be the ML because he is a horrible partner.

At the end of the day, in this situation, he gets a semi pass as his position is somewhat understandable but that does not negate him being an asshole. I think that you included a lot of great examples to explain that part.
