Well you see, the time the ml was drunk and had "love" with a man he didn't know was maetel. Someone told the ml that he saw someone with red hair with him that night. Later we see maetel going through a closet full of wigs including the red one that he threw out.
Therefore, maetel is the father that the ml doesn't know about because he was wearing a disguise.
