I also remember liking someone else’s comment about it being related to the mom.
Makes sense why he looked in her room and why OX showed us the outside of where they live. To remind us that not everyone is privileged in this story.
The guilt and regret he must feel. I want to hug him.
For He Tian, having to (possibly) transfer and now the one person he loved being around telling him to f*ck off for good is too much for him.
