I saw a manga rec on tiktok about this father and daughter historical manga. I haven’t read it so I don’t know how accurate my explanation will be. But I think the mother died and the father raises the daughter on his own, but (from what I read in the tiktok comments) he was being controlled by the emperor or someone so he was a complete ass to his daughter while she was growing up and locked her in a dungeon?? But she doesn’t know he’s being controlled by the emperor (spoiler for recent chapter maybe) he sent a red knight to rescue her from the cage, and she ended up killing her self before stuff got explained
