He is a coward, but if it wasn't for the society's intolerance toward what is "different" things would've been different. Besides, he has hardships of his own, and in order not to mess up things again he needs to grow stronger first. You act like it is easy to turn a blind eye to people judgement but it is not, and that is what we see here
I love this manga very much...but, that Ibuki, honestly, I think he's a piece of trash. He's truly weak. They loved each other SO MUCH, yet he left Haru AGAIN. I hope somebody kicks his ass if he tries to get close to Haru again.
