I hugged my dog after reading this, I’ve had my dog since I was a little kid and the thought of him dying soon because of his age always makes me feel super depressed. Imagining myself in the old woman’s position really hurts. My dog is always following me everywhere and is basically glued my side and even sleeps in my bed with me. The idea of him not being here feels so overwhelming. I am so scared of the idea of him dying without me being with him when it happens; and that his spirit won’t be able to rest because he couldn’t find me.
