Basically the reason he broke up w her was cuz he was gay not cuz of any other reason and I’m pretty sure he didn’t explain it properly to her and just left her like that, and that’s why she was mad at him. And when he met Gonghyun he started falling for him slowly and now that he knows he’s leaving it hurts like you said and they’re just desperate for eachother and don’t want things to end just like that yk? But anyways yeah

I really don't think that he broke up with her because He was gay, but actually because of the difference in their social class. I was taken it in a way where He is bissexual
i think some things are not as clear because it's not an official translation and there might be some translation errors that are misleading. but it really surprises me how there are so many comments about how people don't understand the plot or why the characters act in a certain way. come on, you have to read a bit between the lines. not every thing is presented to the reader on a silver plate.
they could have been made for each other but met at the wrong time. it's obvious they both acted a little cold because they try to prevent themselves from falling too deep. Gonghyun is about to leave the country and they won't be able to see each other in the future. still they realize that they are falling for each other and it's painful because they try to make the best out of the last few days, but are already in pain because their relationship won't go anywhere. Cheongsun thinks that Gonghyun is not serious about them and is playing with his feelings. But actually it's not true, he is very serious about them but just scared of the future where they can't be together. Against all odds he decides to ask Cheongsun to go out with him in an act of desperation...
