when I started this I had such high hopes of it being a cute childhood enemies to lovers stories but BOY WAS I WRONG!! He’s insufferable and evil. He left her to be assaulted (i know she wasn’t in the end but still imagine the trauma) Then because he’s so stubborn he decides to hate her and one minute he cares for her well being and the next he hates her. Honestly what did Li do that was so bad that no other concubine has done? She beat a maid and tortured some concubines: that’s to be expected of the palace why is he so shocked?? I stopped at chapter 33 because I don’t think I can stand him any longer and the idea of them getting together is maddening.
Tldr: Amazing art but sadly this storyline is to maddening especially with a ML like him
