Sooo this flora chick- I ain’t vibing with her. I’m not saying she’s a bad (imaginary) person, but she’s definitely a thorn in the side when you’re trying to read a good action story.
What scares me is how often the story cut to flora while our Mc was reporting to the dudes after killing fang leader- it seemed like they were trying to build up her character which goes to show that she will likely be relevant in later chapters as well.
Which again sucks because she will be like “oh my gosh- he’s a changed man! I will suddenly fall in love with him, act like a leech that refuses to leave, and force my feelings upon the man!” I hope to god she won’t but from past readings of action stories, it might be the case. If she can just be a cool female friend, then cool. But that’s usually not this it goes.
I wish that you can take all females out of all action stories that have a male as the leading role because I swear if a chick appears, she’s gonna start blushing a couple of chapters in and then the book will become distracted from the chicks thoughts on how she wants to jump the male lead. I don’t know how many times I had to stop reading a good action story because it kept getting distracted by a female in the story
