Honestly I'm kinda understanding of this troupe because of scenes from a Chinese series that have popped up on my recommendations about a servant girl who searching revenge for her empress enamored the emperor using this method. When she wanted to avoid the emperor she would fake wanting to sleep with him and he would not want her. But when she needed to seduce him she played hard to get and would ignore him sometimes on purpose. Therefore being different from concubines and servants that wanted to rise ranks quickly. So I guess I'm not bothered by this troupe because it's the casual "I want what I don't have/can't have"
