There are some changes from the novel. Not much on the plot but more on the character. Magnus in the novel was a man. At the ball, he wanted to invest in FL's business with 7-3 profit division. FL rejected him and when he grabbed her hand trying to stop her from leaving, a bunch of ladies surrounded them and FL said she rejected Magnus' invitation to dance. Magnus was cornered by the ladies who were upset that he tried to force a lady.
Magnus accused FL for being rude and brought up about her being dumped by the Duke. The Duke joined in right after and clarified that he was the one who got dumped. Like the manhwa, everyone only trusted when the Duke spoke himself but wouldn't believe her, so she got upset.
In the novel it made more sense that she got angry, because she wasnt really in a difficult position since the ladies helped her, but ML's interruption only made her look pathetic. Here, her anger felt more like a tantrum since he did technically save her from the nobles.
