I need to reread to actually process everything over again. The character development/complexity, the slight light hearted feeling along with the deep, dark, unsought feeling. I felt physical pain reading certain parts and emotional pain on others.. it's just so beautiful.. the way the story portrays the individuality of Arima's gender questioning/struggle case, it's complexity is very special to his experience yet it demonstrates how absurd and intricate the question of gender is.. I love this so much..
The author passing away makes it two times sadder. such a loss for us to lose such a great talented artist.
I hope more of this genre is explored, I know a a couple of stories that explore sexuality and gender in a beautiful, meaningful way but yet I hope for these stories to expand more and more within people who like manga in general.. this is not just yaoi or shounen ai for young or adult girls this should be a story for everyone !
